New Forest Mencap has been providing support and services for people with learning disabilities since the 1960’s. New Forest Gateway Club and the Saturday Clubs were formed in the late 1980’s with Brockenhurst Gateway Club being started some 15 years ago.

During lockdown we went entirely online but supported people to keep fit, keep in contact, learn new skills (dancing, singing, crafting, signing and how to keep healthy).  As we are now able to meet up again, we have started to deliver some new services, starting with Digital Drop Ins where people with learning disabilities can be supported to get the most from digital technology.

With effect from 1 January 2022 we have moved our administration base to 1 Old Milton Road, New Milton, BH25 1DQ where you can reach us on 01425 619126.  We will still be using the Nedderman Centre from time to time to deliver activities and meetings and it can be hired by the public for parties, meetings, etc.
